Bag fashion with VOLKER LANG

The story of a passion

The success story of VOLKER LANG Accessoires began back in 1983. After studying fashion design in the Hanseatic city, Volker Lang founded the small, individual department store for fashion, design and home accessories, Kaufrausch, with some creative friends and business people. Here he designed and sewed his first leather bag. That was the beginning of a great passion.

His collections inspire season after season: clear shapes, functional look, puristic, but also playful in detail.

"The things that I do should stand for themselves and support the person who wears them in their appearance" emphasizes Volker Lang.

The conservation of its products from the owners

Even after years of use, his bags and accessories are timeless objects that defy fashion dictates. Not infrequently, a VOLKER LANG wallet accompanies its owner for many years and is only replaced with a heavy heart by a new VOLKER LANG model if it has been lost or stolen, or even after years of use cannot be saved by the in-house workshop.

In the spotlight of the world

The VOLKER LANG style and the high quality are now known far beyond Germany and are finding more and more customers in New-York, London and Paris, and of course still in the beautiful headquarters in Hamburg. Since 2018 there has also been a Volker Lang branch at Bremer Domshof. The company headquarters has been in Aachen since the mid-1990s.

The material of the style

An important element of the corporate philosophy is the appreciation of selected materials, the craftsmanship in traditional fine bag makers and consistent quality. Robust cowhide, shiny aniline leather, soft suede and calf leather with different embossing are used in each collection.

An intergral part of the collection is also a waxed and hand-tumbled saddle leather that is purely vegetable-tanned. The leathers come from traditional tanneries in Italy and Austria. Fine goatskin and soft lamb nappa are used as lining leather.
